Worship
We celebrate the Divine Service Sundays at 9:15am and Mondays at 7:00pm. The name of the worship service we use holds great significance. God does powerful things for us in the worship service. He serves us in giving us the gifts of His forgiveness and new life in Christ through the power of His Word as it is read and preached and the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. We then respond in service to Him in thanksgiving and praise.
Growth
We offer multiple opportunities to study God’s Word together, grow and mature as Jesus’ disciples.
- Sunday Morning Bible Study: Join us after the worship service for in-depth study and discussion in the Scriptures as they address the everyday challenges of our life in the Christian Faith (September – May).
- Children’s Sunday School: Children ages 4 and up are invited to enjoy Bible stories and crafts after Sunday worship.
- The Bereans Bible Study Group: Join us Wednesday mornings at 9:00am for Bible study and fellowship (September – May).
- OK Ave. Youth: This is a monthly gathering for 7th through 12th graders. Join us for Bible study, snacks, and games.
Service
- St. Stephen’s Food Bank: We collect dry goods and canned food items for this church-sponsored food bank.
- Angel Tree: Members of OK Ave. have the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts for children whose parents are in prison.
- Vacation Bible School: The children and youth of our congregation and the surrounding community are invited to learn about Jesus during this week-long summer activity. We conclude the week by inviting the children and their parents for a meal at the church.
- Lutheran Women’s Missionary League: This group of ladies gathers to assemble quilts for people in need and engages in other activities that aid our church’s mission work around the world.
